Salamanca is a small city: walking from one side to the other only takes around half an hour.Therefore, we highly recommend taking public transport. In order to catch a train, you must make your way to the Estación de Chamartín- you can get there either by metro or by taxi.Īn average taxi from the airport to Salamanca will cost upwards of €200 and since it is so far, some taxi drivers may refuse to take you. This is the easiest option, since a bus can be taken directly from the airport itself.īuses are available from 9 am to 11.15pm on weekdays and between 1pm and 9.15pm on weekends. From there, Salamanca can be reached by bus, train or taxi. Students therefore fly into Madrid-Barajas airport (international flights arrive at Terminals 1 or 4), which is located at approximately 215km away from Salamanca. Salamanca’s own airport is very small and only takes national flights.
